Signs you might be having a Transmission Problem

If your car has problems with transmission, it is important to catch it early before it becomes more involved-and a more expensive problem. If you experience any of the following transmission symptoms, we recommend that you bring your vehicle in as soon as possible for a transmission service and inspection: transmission shifting delays: 
  • Does your vehicle pause before moving from the park? 
  • Do you have any pause in the forward movement when your vehicle moves into the first gear or beyond the first gear?
  •  If you move from park to reverse, is there a delayed vehicle response? 
  • Slipping, grinding, or jumping transmission during acceleration when the gear shifts. 
  • At any speed, the car shakes. 
  • A burnt smell from beneath your hood. 
  • Fluid that leaks visibly from the Clunking vehicle, screaming or whistling sounds from the vehicle. 
  • Dipstick transmission fluid is smelling cloudy, thick or foul. 
  • Manual gear shifter is hard to move physically or will not go into gear.
