The Work

What you'd actually turn wrenches on

We're a transmission shop that also does full-service repair, so the board stays varied — you won't run the same job forty times a week, and the hours don't dry up when one kind of work slows down.

Transmissions, start to finish

Automatics, manuals and CVTs, plus Allison and diesel units. R&R and rebuilds, torque converters, transfer cases and differentials. This is the core of the shop and the work we're known for.

Diagnostics, not parts-swapping

P-codes, electrical faults and drivability complaints. You get the time to actually diagnose the thing and the standing to say what it needs — we put the diagnosis in writing before we touch a bolt.

Full-service work in the mix

Brakes, A/C, cooling systems, suspension and engine work come through the same bays. It keeps the days from blurring together and keeps the volume steady through the year.

No Games

How hiring works here

You'll know where you stand at every step. If we don't think it's a fit, we'll tell you instead of leaving you wondering.

  1. 1

    Send the form

Name, phone, email — and attach a resume if you have one. About a minute, and you don't need a resume to start a conversation with us.

  2. 2

    A ten-minute phone call

Usually the same day, at a time you pick. We'll talk about what you're working on now and what you're looking for, and you can ask us anything about the pay or the schedule.

  3. 3

    Come look at the shop

Walk the bays, meet the guys you'd be working next to, and see what you'd be working with. No commitment — we'd rather you see it in person before you decide anything.

  4. 4

    Sit down with the owner

One straight conversation about pay, schedule, and what we'd expect from each other — real numbers, no moving targets between the phone call and the offer. If it's a yes, we pick a start date that lets you give your current shop proper notice.

From the Owners

Come be part of the family

We're looking for good, honest technicians who take pride in their work.

Eagle Transmission has been on Dallas Drive since 1995, and the people in the bays are why. The techs here look out for each other, help each other through a tough diagnosis, and take pride when a customer drives away happy. We'd like to add to that.

So we're looking for an experienced technician who's straight with customers, strong on diagnosis, and proud of the work that leaves the shop. If you can read a schematic, work across makes, and stand behind what you fix, you'll fit right in here.

In return you get steady work Monday through Friday, every weekend off, paid time off, paid training, and owners you can talk to directly about pay, schedule, or anything else on your mind.

If that sounds like the kind of place you'd like to work, send the form and let's talk.

Straight Answers

What techs ask us before they apply

What does the job pay?

$30 to $34 an hour depending on experience, plus periodic performance bonuses. You'll get a straight number on the phone call — not a different number when you show up.

Is it flat rate or hourly?

Hourly. Your paycheck doesn't shrink because the board was slow that week or because a job took longer than the book said it should.

What are the hours? Do you work weekends?

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM. We're closed Saturday and Sunday, there's no on-call rotation, and no late nights. When you leave Friday, you're off.

How much experience do I need?

Roughly five years or more. Dealership experience and broad independent-shop experience both count — what matters is that you can diagnose a problem, read a schematic, and work across makes rather than only replace parts.

What's the paid time off?

Eleven paid days a year: six paid holidays and five paid vacation days. There's also an employee discount and paid training.

What about tools?

Bring what you've got and ask us on the call — we'll tell you exactly what you'd need on day one, in plain terms. Nothing hidden and no surprise expenses after you start.

Do I have to apply through Indeed?

No. The form on this page comes straight to us and it's the fastest way in — we usually call the same day. If you'd rather just talk first, call (940) 514-8690 and ask for the owner.

How far do people drive to work here?

We're at 1600 Dallas Dr in Denton, and we have people who come in from around the county. If you're within a reasonable drive and the rest of this page sounds right, it's worth a ten-minute call to find out.

Still thinking about it?
