Every System, One Shop

Everything your Ram needs, under one roof

A work truck can't afford six shops and six diagnoses. Keep your Ram's whole service history in one place — every card links to that service's page, and the transmission specialty leads the way.

Ram Specialty

Transmission, Cummins & Aisin Repair

The 68RFE and Aisin AS69RC behind the Cummins, the ZF 8-speed (845RE) in the 1500, and the towing heat that ages them all — Ram transmissions diagnosed and rebuilt in-house, backed by honored warranties and free 40-mile towing on major repair.

What We Keep an Eye On

Three Ram patterns worth catching early

Ram trucks work hard, and a few issues show up often enough that owners ask about them by name. None of it is a guess until we inspect your truck — but knowing what to watch saves the big bill.

  • The Hemi tick. On the 5.7 Hemi, a tick can be harmless manifold noise or an MDS lifter/cam concern. The difference is the whole repair — so we diagnose it, not guess.
  • Death wobble. The HD solid front axle can develop a violent shake — worn track bar, tie rod or ball joints. It's a safety item and a steering-and-suspension fix, not a transmission one.
  • Tow heat on the transmission. The 68RFE and Aisin live or die on cooling and fluid. Towing a diesel in Texas heat is exactly how they age early — service beats replacement.
  • Written estimate first. Whatever your Ram is doing, you get the real cause and the real cost in writing before we touch a wrench.

Good to Know

Ram questions, answered

Do you work on Cummins diesel transmissions?

Yes — the 68RFE and the Aisin AS69RC behind the 6.7 Cummins are core work for us, along with the cooling and drivetrain a diesel that tows leans on. Heat and load are what age these units, and we service them accordingly. We handle the transmission and drivetrain side of diesel trucks; for engine-internal Cummins work we'll point you to the right people.

What is the Hemi tick, and should I worry about it?

The 'Hemi tick' is a well-known ticking on the 5.7 Hemi — sometimes harmless exhaust-manifold noise, sometimes a lifter or camshaft concern related to the MDS cylinder-deactivation system. The difference matters, so we diagnose it properly rather than guess, and lay out the real fix in writing before any work.

My Ram 2500 shakes violently at speed — is that death wobble?

That's the classic 'death wobble' on solid-front-axle Ram HD trucks — a steering and suspension issue, not the transmission. Worn track-bar, tie-rod, ball joints or a steering damper are common culprits. It's a safety item; get it inspected before you tow again. Our suspension and steering page covers the fix.

Do you do more than transmissions on my Ram?

Yes — full repair. Transmission and drivetrain is our specialty, but the same shop handles your Ram's brakes, A/C, engine, cooling, suspension, electrical, diagnostics and oil changes. One shop for the whole truck, gas or diesel.
